Frequently asked questions

Clear answers for practitioners.

What is DictaMed?

DictaMed is a clinical documentation assistant for health practitioners. It turns voice, pasted information, images and PDFs into a complete reviewable transcript, then creates a practitioner-selected clinical note.

Does DictaMed replace the medical record?

No. DictaMed prepares temporary drafts. The practitioner must review them and copy the final content into their authorised clinical system.

How long does DictaMed keep clinical drafts?

Clinical drafts are automatically deleted within 24 hours of creation, and the practitioner can delete them sooner.

Does DictaMed retain audio recordings?

DictaMed sends audio for transcription, does not write it to its database, and discards its processing copy after the transcription request.

What documents can DictaMed prepare?

DictaMed turns voice, text, images and PDFs into a reviewable transcript and a Fast Track, Emergency or Ward Round clinical note.

Does DictaMed work on mobile and desktop?

Yes. A signed-in practitioner can continue temporary drafts on mobile or desktop during the 24-hour window.
